هَنيئاً لأَرضِ الصَّالِحية كُلَّما

هَنيئاً لأَرضِ الصَّالِحية كُلَّما

سَمَت مَنزِلاً بِالفَضلِ فازَت بِأَرفَعا

سَمَت مَنزِلاً بِالفَضلِ فازَت بِأَرفَعا

Joy to the land of al-Salihiyya! Whenever

it rises a rank through excellence, it gains a loftier one.

فَبَينا نُجومِ التّمِ مِنها طَوالِع

فَبَينا نُجومِ التّمِ مِنها طَوالِع

تَبَوَّأها بَدر المَكارِمِ مطلَعا

تَبَوَّأها بَدر المَكارِمِ مطلَعا

And while stars of perfection were rising from it,

the full moon of noble virtues made it his place of rising.

فَلا فضل إِلا حلّها حينَ حلّها

فَلا فضل إِلا حلّها حينَ حلّها

فقُل لمعاديها عثرت فلا لَعا

فقُل لمعاديها عثرت فلا لَعا

Every virtue dwelt there when he dwelt there;

so tell its foe: 'May you stumble and never rise again!'

فَيا سَيدي إِن فاتَ حَظي موضع

فَيا سَيدي إِن فاتَ حَظي موضع

بِقُربِك فاجعَل لي بِقَلبِكَ مَوضِعا

بِقُربِك فاجعَل لي بِقَلبِكَ مَوضِعا

So, my master, if it has not been my lot to have a place

near you, then grant me a place in your heart.

فَإنِّي أَنا الرق الذي إن بلوته

فَإنِّي أَنا الرق الذي إن بلوته

تجد شاهِداً منه عَلَى صِدقِ ما ادَّعَى

تجد شاهِداً منه عَلَى صِدقِ ما ادَّعَى

For I am the bondservant: if you put him to the test,

you will find in him testimony to the truth of what he claims.
