وَإِنand if قالَhe says ليto me ماذاwhat تَرىyou think يَستَشيرُنيhe seeks my advice
وَإِن قالَ لي ماذا تَرى يَستَشيرُني
أَخيmy brother لَمdid not أُشِرI advise إِلّاexcept بِماconcerning what كُنتُI was فاعِلاًdoing
أَخي لَم أُشِر إِلّا بِما كُنتُ فاعِلاً
And if he says to me, “What do you think?” seeking my counsel—
And if he says to me, “What do you think?” seeking my counsel—
my brother—I counsel him only as I myself would act.
