أَلا أَبلِغا بُسرَ بِنَ سُفيانَ آَيَةً

أَلا أَبلِغا بُسرَ بِنَ سُفيانَ آَيَةً

يُبَلِّغُها عَنّى الخُبَيرُ المُفرَدُ

يُبَلِّغُها عَنّى الخُبَيرُ المُفرَدُ

Listen, you two: convey a message to Busr son of Sufyan.

The knowledgeable, solitary man conveys it on my behalf.

فدع لقريش ما يليها أو ائتها

فدع لقريش ما يليها أو ائتها

بعين الرضا والصلح أبقى وأحمد

بعين الرضا والصلح أبقى وأحمد

So leave to Quraysh what concerns them, or approach them

With an eye of goodwill—and peace is more lasting and more praiseworthy.
