جاءَت بِهِ عُجُزٌ مقابَلَة

جاءَت بِهِ عُجُزٌ مقابَلَة

ما هُنَّ مِن جَرمٍ وَمِن عُكلِ

ما هُنَّ مِن جَرمٍ وَمِن عُكلِ

يا بِشرُ يابنَ الجَعفريةِ ما

O Bishr, son of al-Jaʿfariyya, never

O human, o son of Al-Ja'fariyah, God did not

أَنتَ ابنُ ساداتٍ لأجمعهم

أَنتَ ابنُ ساداتٍ لأجمعهم

في بَطنِ مَكَّةَ عِزَّةُ الأَصلِ

في بَطنِ مَكَّةَ عِزَّةُ الأَصلِ

You are the son of lords, all of whom

بَحرٌ مِن الأَعياصِ جُدنَ بِهِ

بَحرٌ مِن الأَعياصِ جُدنَ بِهِ

في مَغرِسٍ لِلجودِ وَالفَضلِ

في مَغرِسٍ لِلجودِ وَالفَضلِ

A sea from the Aʿyāṣ, whom they generously bestowed

An ocean of generosity, his roots were saturated

in a seedbed of generosity and excellence.

With the planting of generosity and favor

تهللٌ تندى يَداهُ إِذا

تهللٌ تندى يَداهُ إِذا

ضَنَّ السَحابُ بِوابِلٍ سَجلِ

ضَنَّ السَحابُ بِوابِلٍ سَجلِ

Beaming, his hands drip with bounty when
