كأنَّas though اللَّيلَthe night حينَwhen دَجاgrew dark غُرابa crow
كأنَّ اللَّيلَ حينَ دَجا غُراب
وليسَand there is no علىover الغُرابِthe crow غرابُa crow بَينِparting

صنيعُ أبي الحُسينِ إلى الحسَينِ
So the distance is not great for one whom
Abu al-Husayn's kindness has summoned to al-Husayn.

Nor is a person spoken of fondly until
the soul willingly parts with what is in both hands.
