And one day he said to my sickbed visitors, laughing
He said to me one day, laughing,
at my ailment, though, but for love, it would almost have made him weep:
"What's wrong with me? If not for love, I would weep!
إنِّيindeed I لأعرفُcertainly know إنساناًa person يُعالِجُهُtreats him
دُونَapart from البَريَّةِhumankind فيwith لُطفٍgentleness فَيُبرِيهِand so heals him
“I certainly know someone who treats him,
I know a man who treats me
apart from all others, gently, and so heals him.”
With such kindness in the wilderness that he heals me!"
