ومِن بَني القُوّادِ مَن يغنِه

ومِن بَني القُوّادِ مَن يغنِه

عَن سَيفِه سُيُوفُ أجفانِهِ

عَن سَيفِه سُيُوفُ أجفانِهِ

And among the commanders' sons is one who is spared

Among the valiant leaders are those whose eyelids' swords

the need for his sword by the swords of his eyelids.

Make his own sword redundant,

سُلطانُ عَينَيهِ لَه سَطوَةٌ

سُلطانُ عَينَيهِ لَه سَطوَةٌ

أشَدُّ مِن سَطوَةِ سُلطانِهِ

أشَدُّ مِن سَطوَةِ سُلطانِهِ

The sovereignty of his eyes has a might

The rule of his eyes is a power

stronger than the might of his sultan.

Stronger than the rule of his reign
