ذا مسجدٌ سُرَّ أربابُ السُّجود بهِ

ذا مسجدٌ سُرَّ أربابُ السُّجود بهِ

وجامعٌ جامعٌ للساجدِ الراكعْ

وجامعٌ جامعٌ للساجدِ الراكعْ

This is a mosque that has gladdened those devoted to prostration,

This is a mosque whose lords of prostration were secretly pleased with it,

and a congregational mosque gathering those who prostrate and bow.

A mosque, a gatherer for the prostrating worshipper and the bowing one.

بناه الله منشيه وواضعه

بناه الله منشيه وواضعه

وللقواعد من أركانه رافع

وللقواعد من أركانه رافع

God built it; its founder and builder,

God built it, made it and established it,

and the raiser of the foundations of its pillars,

And raised its pillars and corners.

يرجو من الله في العقبى مثوبَته

يرجو من الله في العقبى مثوبَته

فيا له بثواب الله من طامع

فيا له بثواب الله من طامع

hopes for his reward from God in the hereafter.

He hopes for its reward in the Hereafter from God,

So, what a seeker of God's reward he is!

So what a reward from God he longs for!

دعا إلى صالح الأعمال حينئذٍ

دعا إلى صالح الأعمال حينئذٍ

من كانَ لله فيه خاضعاً خاشع

من كانَ لله فيه خاضعاً خاشع

He then called to righteous deeds

He called then to righteous deeds,

those who were submissive and reverent before God within it.

Whoever to God in it was submitting and humble.

فالله يجزيه عما كانَ أنشأه

فالله يجزيه عما كانَ أنشأه

خيراً وأكرمه من فضله الواسع

خيراً وأكرمه من فضله الواسع

So may God reward him for what he built

So may God reward him for what he had built,

with good, and honor him from His vast bounty.

With goodness and honor him from His abundant grace.

إنَّ العِمارة قد زانت عمارتها

إنَّ العِمارة قد زانت عمارتها

أرِّخْ بتعمير عبد القادر الجامع

أرِّخْ بتعمير عبد القادر الجامع

Indeed, the building has adorned its town, al-‘Amarah;

Indeed, its construction had adorned its building,

Record the date with: ‘Abd al-Qadir's construction of the congregational mosque.’

Date the restoration of Abd al-Qadir al-Jami.
