أَراني والخطوبُ إذا أَلَمَّتْ

أَراني والخطوبُ إذا أَلَمَّتْ

رَحبْتُ إلى جميلِ أبي جميلِ

رَحبْتُ إلى جميلِ أبي جميلِ

I find myself, whenever misfortunes strike,

When hardship weighs heavy

turning to Jamil, Abu Jamil,

I seek my father, most beautiful

كأَنَّ الله وَكَّلَهُ برزقي

كأَنَّ الله وَكَّلَهُ برزقي

وحوَّلَني على نِعْمَ الوكيلِ

وحوَّلَني على نِعْمَ الوكيلِ

as though God had entrusted him with my sustenance

As though God charged him

and referred me to an excellent trustee.

With my provision, an excellent trustee
