أَرى الرايِةَ الصَفراءَ يَريم اِصطِفاقُها

أَرى الرايِةَ الصَفراءَ يَريم اِصطِفاقُها

بَني أَصفَرٍ بِالرَعفاتِ اللَهاذِمِ

بَني أَصفَرٍ بِالرَعفاتِ اللَهاذِمِ

I see the yellow banner, its fluttering targeting

the sons of Asfar with blood-drawing, razor-sharp spears;

فَتَسبي فِلَسطيناً وَتَجبي جَزائِراً

فَتَسبي فِلَسطيناً وَتَجبي جَزائِراً

وَتَملِكُ مِن يونانَ أَرضَ الأَساحِمِ

وَتَملِكُ مِن يونانَ أَرضَ الأَساحِمِ

then it takes Palestine captive and exacts tribute from islands,

and takes from Greece the land of al-Asahim;

وَتَعنو لَها الأَملاكُ شَرقاً وَمَغرِباً

وَتَعنو لَها الأَملاكُ شَرقاً وَمَغرِباً

بِذا حَكَمَت حُذاقُ أَهلِ المَلاحِمِ

بِذا حَكَمَت حُذاقُ أَهلِ المَلاحِمِ

and kings bow to it, east and west.

Thus have the masters of battle prophecy pronounced.
