يا سيدي يا رسول اللّه يا سندي

O my master, O Messenger of God, O my support!

And O my hope, and O my stronghold, and O my aid!

And my hope, my fortress, my helper

ويا ذخيرة فقري يا عياذي يا

ويا ذخيرة فقري يا عياذي يا

غوثي ويا عدتي للخطب والنكد

غوثي ويا عدتي للخطب والنكد

And O provision for my poverty, O my refuge, O

And the provision for my poverty, my refuge, O

And O treasure for my poverty, O my refuge, O

my succor, and O my resource against calamity and distress!

My succor, my preparation for adversities and distress

My succor, and O my preparation against calamity and distress,

يا كهف ذلي ويا حامي الذمار ويا

يا كهف ذلي ويا حامي الذمار ويا

شفيعنا في غد أرجوك يا سندي

شفيعنا في غد أرجوك يا سندي

O refuge for my lowliness, and O defender of honor, and O

O cave of my humility, O protector of the feeble, and O

O sanctuary for my abasement, O protector of the sacred trust, O

our intercessor on the morrow, I beseech you, O my support.

Our intercessor tomorrow, I hope in you, O my support

لا علم عندي أرجيه ولا عمل

لا علم عندي أرجيه ولا عمل

أمام نجواي من هدى ومن رشد

أمام نجواي من هدى ومن رشد

I have no knowledge to place my hope in, nor any deed

I have no knowledge that I hope for, nor work

I possess no knowledge upon which to rely, nor any deed,

of guidance or right conduct to set before my whispered plea.

To save me from guidance and righteousness

To place before my plea, neither guidance nor rectitude;

أبغي رضاك ولا شيء أقدمه

أبغي رضاك ولا شيء أقدمه

سوى افتقاري وذلّي واصفرار يدي

سوى افتقاري وذلّي واصفرار يدي

I seek your pleasure, and have nothing to offer

I want your approval, and I present nothing

I seek your contentment, though I have nothing to present

save my need, my lowliness, and my empty hand.

Except my destitution, my humiliation, and the yellowing of my hands

Save my destitution, my humility, and my empty hands.

إن أنت راض فيا فخري ويا شرفي

إن أنت راض فيا فخري ويا شرفي

ماذا علي إذا واليت من أحد

ماذا علي إذا واليت من أحد

If you are pleased, then what pride and honor are mine!

If you are pleased, then O my pride and my nobility

If you are pleased, then O my pride and O my honor;

What harm can come to me from anyone, if you befriend me?

What do I care if anyone becomes hostile to me

What does it matter to me whoever else I might befriend?
