مما عراكم عسى فيه أقاسمكم

أو حمله كله لو كان يمكنني

أو حمله كله لو كان يمكنني

Because of what befell you; may I share in it with you,

Whatever has befallen you, I hope I can share it

Because of what befell you, hoping I might share your burden,

Or bear it all, if I could,

Or bear the whole of it, if only it were within my power,

حتى يتمّ لنا من وصلكم غرض

قد طالما كنت راجيه من الزمن
