بهر النواظرَ نورُهُ وضياؤُه

بهر النواظرَ نورُهُ وضياؤُه

To God belongs a congregational mosque in Jerusalem,

In the holy House of God, a sanctuary

whose light and radiance dazzled the eyes.

Its light and splendor dazzle all eyes

منه الجوانبُ واسعاتٍ تنجلي

منه الجوانبُ واسعاتٍ تنجلي

وزهَت بطلعةِ قبّتيهِ سماؤُه

وزهَت بطلعةِ قبّتيهِ سماؤُه

From it, broad expanses come into view,

Its sides are vast expanses shining

and its sky grew resplendent with the appearance of its two domes.

Its dome's rising adorns the sky

حيث المدارسُ حوله قد أشرقت

حيث المدارسُ حوله قد أشرقت

تمتدُّ من أشجاره أفياؤُه

تمتدُّ من أشجاره أفياؤُه

Where the schools around it have indeed shone,

Schools around it glow with light

its shade stretches out from its trees.

Its trees extend refreshing shade

والمسجد الأقصى المبارك فاتحٌ

والمسجد الأقصى المبارك فاتحٌ

كفّا وفيه الكاس يدفُق ماؤُه

كفّا وفيه الكاس يدفُق ماؤُه

And the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque holds open

The blessed Aqsa mosque lies open

a palm; and within it is the cup, whose water gushes.

With blessings, where water flows in cups
