هذا الحبيب الذي بالقهر غيّرهم

هذا الحبيب الذي بالقهر غيّرهم

وبالعملْ بخلاف الشرع عيَّرهم

وبالعملْ بخلاف الشرع عيَّرهم

This is the beloved who changed them through overpowering force.

This beloved who by force changed them

And reproached them for acting contrary to sacred law.

And by deeds against sacred law blamed them

حكمْ عليهم وبالأعمالْ خيّرهم

حكمْ عليهم وبالأعمالْ خيّرهم

والكل فانون حتى فيه حيّرهم

والكل فانون حتى فيه حيّرهم

He passed judgment on them, and through deeds gave them a choice.

Ruled over them and by deeds gave them choice

And all are passing away, until he bewildered them in himself.

Yet all are vanishing even in Him it confused them
