أهملوني من جهلهم بي وهذا

وصف قومي ما بينهم متناسق

They neglected me out of their ignorance of me, and this

They ignore me out of ignorance of me, and that

is a trait of my people, consistent among them.

Is a description of my people; none of them in accord.

وهو إهمال ربهم لهمو فل

وهو إهمال ربهم لهمو فل

يستعيذوا بالله من شرِّ غاسق

يستعيذوا بالله من شرِّ غاسق

And it is their Lord's neglect of them; so let them

seek refuge in God from the evil of the darkening night.

وأنا ناظر لهم فكأني

And I look upon them, so it is as though I were

And I watch them as if I were

a copy of the Qur'an that has been placed in a sinner's house.
