وتبدَّت لصاحب الأحوالِ

وتبدَّت لصاحب الأحوالِ

The Kaaba of beauty unveiled herself in splendor,

The Kaaba of beauty has dawned with grace,

and appeared to the possessor of spiritual states.

And appeared to the companion of spiritual states,

ولها مقلة من الحجر الأس

ولها مقلة من الحجر الأس

ود ترنو ببهجة ودلال

ود ترنو ببهجة ودلال

And she has an eye of the Black Stone,

It has a dome of black stone,

gazing with delight and coquetry.

Yearning with joy and charm,

ريقها زمزم يمج بعذب

ريقها زمزم يمج بعذب

سائغ للمتيمين زلال

سائغ للمتيمين زلال

Her saliva is Zamzam, spouting sweet water,

Its draft is Zamzam flowing with sweet,

pleasant to the love-stricken, pure and clear.

Clear water for the thirsty,

وحطيمٌ محبُّها بغرام

وحطيمٌ محبُّها بغرام

صبّ ميزابه بفرط جلال

صبّ ميزابه بفرط جلال

And her lover is a Hatim, shattered by passion;

And its lover is enchanted with passion,

his waterspout poured forth in overwhelming majesty.

Pouring his measure to the brim out of glory,

نظرتها عيونها بعيون ال

نظرتها عيونها بعيون ال

عاشق الواله البعيد المجال

عاشق الواله البعيد المجال

Her eyes gazed upon her through the eyes of the

Its gaze is its eyes in the eyes of the

bewildered, far-ranging lover.

Lover of the Distant Lord of might,

وإذا كنت عابداً فهي سلمى

وإذا كنت عابداً فهي سلمى

لبست ثوبَ هيبة وكمال

لبست ثوبَ هيبة وكمال

And if you are a worshipper, she is Salma,

And if you are a worshipper it is your Salsabil

who has donned a robe of awe and perfection.

Wearing a garment of awe and perfection,

وأشارت إلى الطواف بوجه

وأشارت إلى الطواف بوجه

يفضح البدر بالسنا والتلالي

يفضح البدر بالسنا والتلالي

And she beckoned to circumambulation with a face

And it motions to circumambulation with a face

that shames the full moon with radiance and brilliance.

That shames the full moon in brilliance and hills,

ويرى الزاهد المجرد بيتاً

ويرى الزاهد المجرد بيتاً

ملأته مهابة الإفضال

ملأته مهابة الإفضال

And the detached ascetic sees a house

And the ascetic sees a house

filled with the awe inspired by beneficence.

Filled with the awe of grace.
