قل لقوم غصبوا أنفسهم

قل لقوم غصبوا أنفسهم

في يد الله وهم لا يعلمون

في يد الله وهم لا يعلمون

Say to a people who have usurped their own selves,

Tell those who wronged themselves

held in God's hand, though they do not know,

That they are in God's hands though they know not

وادعوها ملكهم من جهلهم

وادعوها ملكهم من جهلهم

مستقلين بها كن فيكون

مستقلين بها كن فيكون

and claimed them as their property out of ignorance,

And who claimed it as their own out of ignorance

assuming sole control over them. 'Be,' and so it is.

As though they could say "be" and it would be

قوله الحق له ما في السم

قوله الحق له ما في السم

وات والأرض جميعاً تقرأون

وات والأرض جميعاً تقرأون

His word is truth; His is whatever is in the heav-

His word is true, to Him belongs all

ens and the earth—as you all read.

In the heavens and the earth, as you read

وله قل كل شيء هالك

وله قل كل شيء هالك

قال أيضاً وإليه ترجعون

قال أيضاً وإليه ترجعون

And say: His is every perishing thing.

And say to them all things perish

He also said: 'And to Him you shall be returned.'

Except Him, to Him you will return
