لنا الدرة البيضاء والعلم والجاهُ

لنا الدرة البيضاء والعلم والجاهُ

وقلبي ترقيه إلى الله ألجاهُ

وقلبي ترقيه إلى الله ألجاهُ

Ours are the white pearl, knowledge, and prestige.

We have the white pearl, the flag, and glory

And my heart—its ascent has driven it toward God.

And my heart rises with it towards God I aimed it

ولولاه ما كنا ولولاه لم نكن

ولولاه ما كنا ولولاه لم نكن

ولولاه ما قلنا له عنه لولاه

ولولاه ما قلنا له عنه لولاه

But for Him, we would not have been; but for Him, we would not exist.

Without Him we would not exist and without Him we would not be

And but for Him, we would not have said to Him, about Him, 'But for Him.'

Without Him we would not say anything about Him without Him

وجود تجلٍّ وهو ذاتٌ قديمةٌ

وجود تجلٍّ وهو ذاتٌ قديمةٌ

منزهة عن كل لفظ ومعناه

منزهة عن كل لفظ ومعناه

An existence of self-manifestation—and He is an eternal essence,

An existence of manifestation and He is an eternal essence

Transcendent beyond every word and its meaning.

Transcendent above all speech and its meaning

له صورة من علمه قد ترتبت

له صورة من علمه قد ترتبت

ظهوراً ولا موجود في الكون إلا هُوْ

ظهوراً ولا موجود في الكون إلا هُوْ

He has a form that has been ordered from His knowledge,

He has an image from His knowledge that has been arranged

As a manifestation; nothing exists in the universe except Him.

As a manifestation and there is nothing existent in the universe except Him

يقول أب لي قبل كوني مقدم

يقول أب لي قبل كوني مقدم

علي بمحيي الدين ربي سماه

علي بمحيي الدين ربي سماه

A father of mine speaks—before I existed, he had precedence

My father said to me before my existence began

Over me; my Lord named him Muhyi al-Din.

God named me the Reviver of Religion

وذلك من نظم لأسماء ربنا

وذلك من نظم لأسماء ربنا

جليلٍ به قد قال قولاً فهمناه

جليلٍ به قد قال قولاً فهمناه

And that is from a poem on the names of our Lord,

And that is from the composition of the names of our Lord

A sublime one, in which he uttered a saying we understood:

Majestic, by which He has spoken a word we understood

إلا أنني عبد الغنيِّ لذاته

إلا أنني عبد الغنيِّ لذاته

وليس سواه فالمعين هو الله

وليس سواه فالمعين هو الله

Except that I am Abd al-Ghani, servant of the One self-sufficient in Himself,

Except that I am a servant of the Self-Sufficient by His essence

And of none besides Him; for the Helper is God.

And there is none except Him, so God is the helper
