يا من تقاصر شكري عن أياديه
وكلَّand faltered كلُّevery لسانtongue عنbefore معانيهHis meanings
وكلَّ كلُّ لسان عن معانيه
O You whose favors my gratitude falls short of,
and before whose meanings every tongue falters.
وجودهHis existence لمnot يزلcease فرداًunique بلاwithout سببa cause
وجوده لم يزل فرداً بلا سبب
علاHe is exalted عنabove الخلقcreation دانيهits near ones وقاصيهand its far ones
علا عن الخلق دانيه وقاصيه
His existence has ever been unique, without cause.
He is exalted above creation, its near and its far.
لاno قهرsubjugation يلحقهreaches Him لاno عونaid ينصرهsupports Him
لا قهر يلحقه لا عون ينصره
لاno حصرlimit يجمعهencompasses Him لاno قطرregion يحويهcontains Him
لا حصر يجمعه لا قطر يحويه
No force can subjugate Him; no aid can support Him.
No limit encompasses Him; no region contains Him.
جلالهHis majesty أزليbeginningless لاno زوالpassing away لهfor it
جلاله أزلي لا زوال له
وملكهand His dominion دائمeverlasting لاno شيءthing يفنيهdestroys it
وملكه دائم لا شيء يفنيه
His majesty is beginningless, never passing away.
And His dominion is everlasting; nothing can destroy it.
