1. يامن يحب حبيبَهْ

    اترك جيمع العيوبِ

    O you who love your beloved,

    Abandon all faults,

  2. واقدم بنفس منيبهْ

    واشرب بألطف كوبِ

    And come forward with a penitent soul,

    And drink from the finest cup.

  3. تلقى الأمور العجيبه

    في الحب للمحبوب

    You will find wondrous things

    In love for the beloved.

  4. ولا تخف شر غيبه

    من جاهل محجوب

    And do not fear the evil of backbiting

    From an ignorant, veiled person.

  5. روى الثقات غريبه

    للديلمي المرغوب

    Trustworthy narrators related a rare report

    Of the esteemed al-Daylami,

  6. في ذي المعاني النسيبه

    فردوسه المطلوب

    In that work of noble meanings—

    His sought-after Firdaws.

  7. قد قال من بث طيبه

    طه شفاء القلوب

    Indeed, he who spread his fragrance said—

    Taha, the healing of hearts:

  8. العشق من غير ريبه

    كفارة للذنوب

    "Passionate love, free of suspicion,

    Is an atonement for sins."
