يا وجودي إنني الصورة لكْ

أنت قد صورتها وهي ملكْ

O my Being, I am Your form.

O my existence, I am your image

You have fashioned it, and it is an angel.

You have imaged me and I am yours

شهد الحق ولم يشهد سوى

شهد الحق ولم يشهد سوى

أنه الشاهد سوَّى وملك

أنه الشاهد سوَّى وملك

It witnessed the Real, and witnessed nothing but

Truth has witnessed and none has witnessed but

that He is the Witness, who fashioned and ruled.

That He is the Witness, He ordained and ruled

صورتي فعل له وهو الذي

صورتي فعل له وهو الذي

صاغها من عدم رب الفلك

صاغها من عدم رب الفلك

My form is an act of His, and He is the one

My image is His act and He is the One

who fashioned it from nothing, the Lord of the celestial sphere.

Who molded it from nothingness, Lord of the universe

وكذا الأشياء طراً قل كذا

وكذا الأشياء طراً قل كذا

حكمها شرعاً لمن قد سألك

حكمها شرعاً لمن قد سألك

And likewise all things, without exception; say, 'Such is

And so are all things, say just so

their ruling under sacred law,' to whoever has asked you.

His judgment of them religiously if you've been asked

يا ابنة العزِّ إلى كم شغفي

يا ابنة العزِّ إلى كم شغفي

أي يوم يعدم النور الحلك

أي يوم يعدم النور الحلك

O daughter of glory, how long will my passion last?

O daughter of glory, to what extent is my fervor

On what day will light annihilate the darkness?

What day will the halo's light be lacking?

وأنا تلك كما تلك أنا

وأنا تلك كما تلك أنا

وهما الواحد والإثنان لك

وهما الواحد والإثنان لك

And I am she, just as she is I;

And I am that as that is I

and for You, they are the one and the two.

And both are one and two for you

قلت لما هي قالت لي وقد

قلت لما هي قالت لي وقد

غلَّقت أبوابها لي هيت لك

غلَّقت أبوابها لي هيت لك

I said, when she said to me, having already

I said when she is, she said to me and

bolted her doors for me, 'Come to me!'

Closed her doors to me, hey, for you

ومعاذ الله قولي عندما

ومعاذ الله قولي عندما

ظهرت لي غيرها خذ أملك

ظهرت لي غيرها خذ أملك

(and 'God forbid!' is my reply whenever

God forbid my words when

someone other than her appears to me), 'Take what you hope for.'

Another appeared to me, take what is yours

وبدا برهان ربي ظاهراً

وبدا برهان ربي ظاهراً

واختفت أغياره عمن سلك

واختفت أغياره عمن سلك

And my Lord's proof appeared plainly,

And my Lord's proof became manifest

and all besides Him vanished from whoever trod the path.

And fakes disappeared from those who tread the path

جل ربي وتعالى فز به

جل ربي وتعالى فز به

يا رفيقي وتدارك من هلك

يا رفيقي وتدارك من هلك

Majestic and exalted is my Lord; triumph through Him,

Exalted is my Lord, transcendent, so win Him over

O my companion, and rescue whoever has perished.

O my companion, and make up for those who've perished

هذه الغفلة نارٌ أوقدت

هذه الغفلة نارٌ أوقدت

فاطفِها بالذكر واسبق أجلك

فاطفِها بالذكر واسبق أجلك

This heedlessness is a fire that has been kindled;

This heedlessness is a fire kindled

so quench it with remembrance, and outrun your appointed end.

So extinguish it by remembering, precede your fate
