My heart, in the station of love, has what it sought.

My heart holds love for you in high esteem

And the hour of separation was exchanged for nearness to me.

وصحب عليهم حاكم العقل قد حوى

يقولون لي ضيعت عمرك في الهوى

يقولون لي ضيعت عمرك في الهوى

And companions over whom reason's judge has gained sway

And the rulers of reason have embraced

Say to me, "You have wasted your life in passion."

They say to me "You have wasted your life in passion"

وما فاتني شيء إذا كنت ألقاكم

وما فاتني شيء إذا كنت ألقاكم

أحباي إني المستهام المجردُ

أحباي إني المستهام المجردُ

And I have missed nothing if I meet you.

And I lose nothing when I am with you, my loves

My beloveds, I am the love-distraught one, stripped of attachments.

I am the bare seeker, the pure

وأنتم كرام ما على يدكم يدُ

وأنتم كرام ما على يدكم يدُ

ووالله ما لي في يميني ترددُ

ووالله ما لي في يميني ترددُ

And you are noble; no hand is above yours.

While you are the generous, hands that never refuse

And by God, I do not waver in my oath.

By God, I have no hesitation in my soul

لئن كان قوم بالزوايا تقيدوا

لئن كان قوم بالزوايا تقيدوا

فإني أرى كل الوجود زواياكم

فإني أرى كل الوجود زواياكم

If indeed some people have bound themselves to the lodges,

If some are bound by corners

Then I see all existence as your lodges.

To me, all existence is your corners
