وجهي بنور الحق في إشراق

والقيد مني في الهوى إطلاقي

My face is radiant with the light of the Truth.

My face shines with the light of truth in radiance

And my bondage in love is my release.

And my bondage to passion is released

فاعطف علينا بالفنا يا باقي

فاعطف علينا بالفنا يا باقي

واكشف لنا أستار وجه الساقي

واكشف لنا أستار وجه الساقي

So show us kindness through annihilation, O Abiding One.

So have mercy on us with annihilation, O Eternal One

And lift for us the veils from the cupbearer's face.

And unveil for us the veil of the Cupbearer

عندي جميع الخلق عين الأمر

عندي جميع الخلق عين الأمر

مذ راق في الكاسات صرف الخمر

مذ راق في الكاسات صرف الخمر

To me, all creation is the command itself,

In my eyes, all creation is the affair of the Command

Since unmixed wine grew clear in the cups,

Since the pure wine flowed in the goblets

والحب فيه طاب طول العمر

والحب فيه طاب طول العمر

فافخر به في موكب العشاق

فافخر به في موكب العشاق

And love in it grew sweet throughout life.

And love in it endured forever

So glory in it amid the procession of lovers.

So I pride myself with it in the parade of lovers

يا لائمي بالله دع من لومي

يا لائمي بالله دع من لومي

وافتح عيون القلب من ذا النوم

وافتح عيون القلب من ذا النوم

O you who reproach me, by God, cease reproaching me.

O you who blame me, for God's sake leave blaming me

And awaken the heart's eyes from this sleep.

And open the eyes of your heart from this slumber

واحذر من الإغرق كن في عوم

واحذر من الإغرق كن في عوم

بحر الهوى يخشى من الإغراق

بحر الهوى يخشى من الإغراق

And beware of drowning; keep swimming.

And beware of drowning, be afloat

In the sea of love, one fears drowning.

The sea of love is feared for drowning

للعين أنواع الورى أجفانُ

للعين أنواع الورى أجفانُ

والناظر الرائي هو الإنسانُ

والناظر الرائي هو الإنسانُ

The kinds of created beings are eyelids to the eye.

The eye has kinds of sights, eyelids

And the beholder who sees is the human being.

And the seer, the perceiver is man

والفرد لا تلوى به الأكوانُ

والفرد لا تلوى به الأكوانُ

عن ذلك الفرد الأجلِّ الواقي

عن ذلك الفرد الأجلِّ الواقي

And the solitary one is not turned aside by the worlds

And the individual, the universes are not distorted by him

Away from that most exalted, protecting One.

From that exalted, eternal individual, protector

قلبي لأسرارالتجلي بيتُ

قلبي لأسرارالتجلي بيتُ

والوصف في مصباح ذاتي زيتُ

والوصف في مصباح ذاتي زيتُ

My heart is a house for the secrets of manifestation.

My heart is a house for the secrets of revelation

And the attribute is oil in the lamp of my essence.

And description is the oil in my lamp

والحي من كل البرايا ميتُ

والحي من كل البرايا ميتُ

في كل أطوار التدلي راقي

في كل أطوار التدلي راقي

And the living one among all creatures is dead,

And the living one from all the lands is dead

Ascending through every stage of descent.

In every state of revelation, transcending
