فاح لكن كل أنف لا يَشُمُّ

Muhyi al-Din’s fragrance is musk among humankind.

The fragrance of Mohi-ud-Din lingers in creation

It wafted forth, yet not every nose can smell it.

Though every perceiving nose cannot sense it

وعلوم خرجت من فمه

وعلوم خرجت من فمه

كل فهم بهداها لا يُلِمُّ

كل فهم بهداها لا يُلِمُّ

And branches of knowledge came forth from his mouth;

And his knowledge pours forth from his lips

Not every mind can grasp their guidance.

Yet every understanding cannot grasp it

قوسه أين الذي يرمي بها

قوسه أين الذي يرمي بها

غرض التحقيق يا قوم هلمّوا

غرض التحقيق يا قوم هلمّوا

His bow—where is the one who shoots with it

Where is the one who can draw his bow

At the target of realization? O people, come!

And hit the target of realization, O people come
