أقلب قلبي في الهموم الشديدة
Indeed, overwhelmed by sorrow, I spent my whole night
I've stayed awake all night from extreme sorrow
turning my heart over amid grievous cares.
Tossing and turning, consumed by deep worries

I cry out as far as my voice will carry, to ease my distress:
I cry out hoping my voice will relieve my distress
My God, by the sanctification of pure souls
My God, by sanctifying devout souls

And freeing them from the mortal world
I hope for Your pardon for sins that harm us.

حقير ذليل كم أنادي لمن دنا
And who are You, O Master of masters, and who am I?
And who are You, O Master of masters, and who am I?
Lowly and abject—how often I call to the One who has drawn near!
A lowly, wretched one calls out, who comes near?

Remove from my heart the suffering I endure,
Take from my heart what torment I find there
for indeed I have little patience in the face of affliction.
For I have little patience in trials
