إن كنت تدري الرزق في بلدة

إن كنت تدري الرزق في بلدة

أو في مكان فاطلب الرزقا

أو في مكان فاطلب الرزقا

If you know sustenance to be in a town,

If you know sustenance lies in a land

Or in a place, then seek sustenance.

Or in a place, then seek sustenance

وإن علمت الحق ينساك من

وإن علمت الحق ينساك من

رزقك يوماً ذكِّر الحقا

رزقك يوماً ذكِّر الحقا

And if you know the True One forgets you regarding

And if you know the truth makes you forget

Your sustenance one day, remind the True One.

وإن دخلت البيت تبغي به

وإن دخلت البيت تبغي به

توكُّلاً كيلا ترى الخلقا

توكُّلاً كيلا ترى الخلقا

And if you enter the house, seeking through it

And if you enter a house seeking in it

Reliance on God, so as not to see created beings,

Reliance, lest you see the people

فإنها تجربة وهي في

فإنها تجربة وهي في

ربك شكٌّ يمنع الصدقا

ربك شكٌّ يمنع الصدقا

For that is a test, and it is, concerning

Then it is a test, and it is in

Your Lord, doubt that prevents sincerity.

وإنما الحيلة في تركك ال

وإنما الحيلة في تركك ال

حيلة فاتركها لكي ترقى

حيلة فاتركها لكي ترقى

And the only stratagem lies in your abandoning the

And the trick is only in you leaving

Stratagem; so abandon it, that you may ascend.

The trick, so leave it that you may ascend
