كم أتعب الحب من عاشقْ وكم عنَّى

والصب للحي كم أقلقْ وكم عنَّى

How much love has wearied the lover, and how much has bothered me,

And insomnia, how much it has disturbed the living, and how much bothered me,

هذا الحبيب الذي مع بعده عنّا

ما عنَّ لي أنني أسلوه ما عنّا

This beloved who, despite his distance from us,

Has not bothered that I console him for what has bothered us.
