Its maker swiftly brings it into view,

Its maker reveals them quickly,

So it dazzles the eyes with its gleam.

Dazzling eyes with its glimmer.

وتختفي ثم يرى غيرها

يضحك أو يبكي بلا دمع

And it vanishes; then another is seen,

Then it disappears, and others are seen -

Laughing or weeping without tears.

Laughing or crying without tears.

وكلها فانية لا ترى

And all are transient; you see nothing

All are transient, you see nothing there

There but the piece of wax.

Except a piece of wax.
