فلم يدع فيه لا سقفاً ولا رفرفْ

His lightning flash fluttered into the house of my heart.

A sudden flash entered the home of my heart,

So it left there neither roof nor overhang

Leaving therein neither roof nor wall.

لطائر الغيب لما فوقه رفرفْ

جعل لكتب الهدى في حيطنا رفرفْ

جعل لكتب الهدى في حيطنا رفرفْ

for the bird of the unseen, when it fluttered above it.

The bird of the unseen soared above,

It made a shelf in our walls for the books of guidance.

Making sacred scriptures flutter in our bosoms.
