Sol 6.1

  1. مرج البحرينِ إذ يلتقيانْ

    وهما بحرا وجودٍ وكيانْ

    He set the two seas flowing as they meet.

    And they are the two seas of existence and being.

  2. برزخٌ بينهما لا يبغيانْ

    هي نفس ذات أوصاف حسانْ

    A barrier lies between them; neither transgresses.

    It is a soul endowed with beautiful attributes.

  3. تعبد الله على الكشف عيانْ

    وهي بالله تعالى المستعانْ

    It worships God through unveiling, in direct vision.

    And it is, through God Most High, whose aid is sought,

  4. حضرة قدسية ذات امتنانْ

    أحسنت أعمال بر كل آنْ

    A holy presence endowed with gracious bounty.

    It has excelled in deeds of piety at every moment.

  5. تقتفي السنة والفرض المصانْ

    دأبها الصدق وإخلاص الجنانْ

    It follows the Sunna and the duty kept inviolate.

    Its constant practice is truthfulness and sincerity of heart.

  6. وهي أمر وهي خلق وفلانْ

    وهي رب لا مكان لا زمانْ

    And it is command, and it is creation, and so-and-so.

    And it is Lord, with neither place nor time.

  7. عندها هذا على ما فيه كانْ

    وكذا هذا على ما فيه فانْ

    In its view, this has existed, with all it holds;

    And likewise, this, with all it holds, is passing away.

  8. عدم صرف كثير الإفتنانْ

    ووجود كل يوم فيه شانْ

    Pure nonbeing, rich in variety,

    And existence, with an affair in it each day.

  9. لا طغا هذا على هذا فبانْ

    لا ولا هذا على هذا فهانْ

    This has not overstepped that and so become distinct;

    No, nor has that overstepped this and so been abased.

  10. فارس الميدان في يوم الرهانْ

    يعرف الحال ويدري ما استبانْ

    The horseman of the arena, on the day of the race,

    Knows the state and understands what has become clear.

  11. والذي ما عنده منا يدانْ

    سوف يلقى الله مذلولاً مهانْ

    And whoever lacks two hands from us

    Will meet God abased and humiliated.
