فاض فينا بحرُ جود

and he from whose palm there once

flowed among us a sea of generosity—

أنت سر الله حقاً

جئت من خير الجدود

you are truly God’s secret;

you came from the noblest forefathers

لنجاة الخلق مما

ضرهم تَهدي الأنام

to save creation from all that

سارت الركبان ليلا

قصدهم أرض الحجاز

The caravan riders journeyed by night,

their destination the land of Hijaz,

والمطايا تترامى

باضطراب واهتزاز

and the mounts surged onward,

Whenever the camel-driver urged them on,

Here are the gazelles of Rama,

These are the gazelles of Rama,

gazing with their eyes.

م بها يلقى المنون

O my people, everyone who falls

O my people! Whoever is enraptured

in love with them meets death—

سيما والنور يبدو

هتك السر المصون

هتك السر المصون

especially when the light appears:

And may God’s blessings, O my Lord,

ز جمالاً وجلال

upon God’s Prophet, he who possessed
