Everything the intellect creates is hope.

And what God creates is action.

So recognize the difference between them:

You will find it the full moon, complete in its fullness.

And creation's attribution to the intellect is as

Jesus said, and was borne upon the ear.

    No one enters this Presence

Except one who differentiated it, then became whole.

    دمعها الطوفان في الكون همل

    Glances through eyes grown numerous;

Their tears—the deluge—flowed through the universe.

And the beginning of the matter is to witness Him

As One in all, bird or camel.

Then there is no bird, nor anything here:

A sun of zodiacal signs, like Pisces and Aries.

He is this; so reverse the eye—nor

Is He this; yet He encompasses this.

For Him, all particulars are wholes.

So be certain: the particulars are wholes.

O my boon companion, you receive from me in proportion to

The state you are in, whenever the intellect can bear it.

So open the door and turn right,

On a path where whoever walks trots.

    And all meanings fall short

Of Him, and the wound for Him has not healed.

    Yet love sometimes casts

You into despair, and at other times into hope.

And it has a limit; so whoever exceeds it

Reverses the matter, and has turned aside and grown weary.
