وذي طلعة عن كل معنى تنزهت

وذي طلعة عن كل معنى تنزهت

لها كل شيء في الوجود يسبِّحُ

لها كل شيء في الوجود يسبِّحُ

And one whose countenance is exalted beyond every meaning;

She whose essence transcends all meaning

Everything in existence glorifies it.

To whom all in existence chant praise

وتسبيحها عنه علت حيث أنه

وتسبيحها عنه علت حيث أنه

من الخلق حكم ليس للحق يصلح

من الخلق حكم ليس للحق يصلح

And it is exalted above the praise offered it, since that praise

Her praise surpasses Him, as He

Is a judgment from creation, unfit for the Real.

Of creation, decrees what befits not the Truth

لها الحسن بل والقبح والكل حكمها

لها الحسن بل والقبح والكل حكمها

فتعطى لها الإيمان منها وتمنح

فتعطى لها الإيمان منها وتمنح

Beauty belongs to it—nay, ugliness too—and all is its decree.

To her belong both beauty and ugliness, and all is by her decree

Thus you are given faith in it by it, and granted it.

She grants faith, and she gifts it

يصورها كل امرئ حسب حاله

يصورها كل امرئ حسب حاله

وكل إناء بالذي فيه ينضح

وكل إناء بالذي فيه ينضح

Each person pictures it according to their own state,

Each person depicts her according to their state

And every vessel exudes what it contains.

And each vessel spills what is already within
