الكل فان إذا له نسبوا

بالحث في كشفه وبالحضِّ

All is passing away when they ascribe it to Him,

By urging its unveiling and by exhortation.

يقرضنا ربنا ونقرضه

ديناً بدين والسر في القرض

Our Lord lends to us, and we lend to Him,

A debt for a debt—the secret lies in the loan.

نقضي فيرضى بما قضاه بنا

ونحن نرضى بما به يقضي

We repay, and He is pleased with what He has decreed through us,

And we are content with whatever He decrees.
