جَميعُ البَزِّ تَحمِلُني وَآةٌ

كَشاةِ الرَملِ تَجمَعُ بِالوَليدِ

With all my gear, a sturdy she-camel carries me,

All gazelles carry me, an eryngium

Like a doe of the sands, hurrying with her newborn.

Like a sheep of the sands gathered by al-Walid

أَبوها لِلضُبَيبِ أَو اِفتَلتَها

أَبوها لِلضُبَيبِ أَو اِفتَلتَها

ذَواتُ السِنِّ مِن آلِ الصَيودِ

ذَواتُ السِنِّ مِن آلِ الصَيودِ

Her sire belongs to al-Ḍubayb, or she was unexpectedly born

Their father for honey or he untethered them

To aged dams of al-Ṣayūd’s stock.
