The fool grew angry when I teased him.
The fool was angered when I jested with him,
What if we had mentioned al-Mamraghah,
How would it have been if we had mentioned the mop,

With flat noses and daughters of toads,
and the one a gecko reveals when it grins.
And those from whom frogs burst out.

He breaks the meter of verse, and if you reproach him
He criticizes poetry even if you admonish him,
in a forum, he says, 'This is in the language.'
In a field he says this is linguistics.
