أتتك حماة دين الله حقاً

The defenders of God's faith have indeed come to you,

The protectors of God's religion have come to you

And the sons of noble, virtuous men,

The sons of excellent steeds

The best of people, the lineage of Bani Nizar

Noble men, cutting through their foes.

Honorable towards enemies, intense swords

إذا احتبك العجاج بهم تراهم

بحولك كالسباع الضاربينا

When the dust weaves itself about them, you see them

When engaged by you, you'll find them

Around you, like beasts of prey on the attack.

Around you like fierce lions

ولا منهم جبان قط يهزم

ولا نذل فتلقاه حزينا

Nor is there among them a coward ever put to flight,

None among them flees as a coward

Nor a base man whom you would find sorrowful.

Nor abject that you find gloomy

وليس ترى سوى مقدام قوم
