  1. أدب الفتى في أن يرى متيقظاً

    لأوامرٍ من ربه ونواه

    A young man's good conduct lies in being found attentive

    to his Lord's commands and prohibitions.

  2. فإذا تمسك بالهوى يهوى به

    والحبل منه لمن تيقن واه

    So if he clings to desire, it sends him plunging down,

    and its rope, to one who knows for certain, is frail.
