وَكُلُّ أُناسٍ لَهُم صِيغَةٌ

وَكُلُّ أُناسٍ لَهُم صِيغَةٌ

وَصِيغَةُ هَمدانَ خَيْرُ الصِّيَغْ

وَصِيغَةُ هَمدانَ خَيْرُ الصِّيَغْ

And every people has its own mould,

And Hamdan's mould is the finest of moulds.

صُبِغْنَا عَلى ذاكَ آباؤُنا

صُبِغْنَا عَلى ذاكَ آباؤُنا

فَأَكْرِمْ بِصَبغَتِنا في الصِّبَغْ

فَأَكْرِمْ بِصَبغَتِنا في الصِّبَغْ

We were dyed thus by our forefathers;

So how noble our hue is among hues!

مَتى يُقْذَفِ الدُّرُّ حَقِّنا

مَتى يُقْذَفِ الدُّرُّ حَقِّنا

عَلى باطِلٍ أَو لَجاجٍ دَمَغْ

عَلى باطِلٍ أَو لَجاجٍ دَمَغْ

Whenever the pearl of our truth is hurled

Against falsehood or obstinate contention, it crushes it.
