يا ملك إن كنتِ تحت الأرض باليةً
فإننيthen indeed I فوقهاabove it بالٍwasting away منfrom الحزنgrief
فإنني فوقها بالٍ من الحزن
O Malak, if you lie decaying beneath the earth,
O king, if you are under the ground, decaying,
then I, above it, am wasting away from grief.
I am above it, saddened with grief.
ياO ملكMalak لمdid not تجديyou feel مسthe touch البلىdecay ولقدand indeed
يا ملك لم تجدي مس البلى ولقد
وجدتI have felt مسthe touch البلىdecay والضرand affliction فيin البدنthe body
وجدت مس البلى والضر في البدن
O Malak, you did not feel the touch of decay, yet indeed
O king, erasing you did not help, but truly
I have felt the touch of decay and affliction in my body.
Erasing me helped the body and relieved its pain.
