No matter how long our black night stretches,

No matter how tyrannically the oppressive master rules,

No matter how insolent the dwarfs and slaves grow,

    And brandish shackles or threaten,

Shall we hold back from championing Islam?

No! We shall always keep chanting:

Tomorrow will surely come with its dawn.

    We are advocates of goodness, people of reason;

    وسوف لا نقطع حبل الرجا

    We remain a thorn in our foes' throats;

And we shall not sever the rope of hope

In the Cleaver of dawn and Effacer of darkness,

So that God may make a way out for us.

And however dark the traitors' night grows,

Tomorrow will surely come with its dawn.

If we abandon unbelief and its causes,

God will open His door to us,

So we may strike at oppression and its adherents,

And wipe out unbelief and its lackeys.

So tell whoever was troubled about victory

By some matter, and did not endure what befell him:

Tomorrow will surely come with its dawn.

    And tell every ignorant idler:

Glory is not written for the idle,

Nor for anyone heedless and unaware.

    God—exalted is He as a speaker—says:

    "We hurl truth against falsehood."

So renew the pledge with the worker:

Tomorrow will surely come with its dawn.

It is not for a believer to submit,

Or desire to live abased and despised

In the mire of oppression, nor grow pliant

    With the dust-stained, godless tyrants.

Rather, he tears the veil from the oppressors,

And threatens the enemies and the spiteful:

Tomorrow will surely come with its dawn.
