تطوى لحكمتها الحياة وتنشر
A remembrance passes, and a lesson recurs.
Memories pass as lessons repeat,
By its wisdom, life is folded and unfurled.
Life folds for their wisdom then unfurls,

صفو الحياة بمثلها يتكدر
A remembrance through which every calamity is dispelled,
Memories through which each adversity flees,
The like of which clouds life's serenity.
Life's essence by them turns bitter.

عنها الصدى وقيودها تتكسر
A remembrance through which hearts revive and are cleansed
Memories by which hearts come alive and shine,
Of rust, while their chains are shattered.
Their echoes and bonds thereby shatter.

The remembrance of the Messenger—what a remembrance this is!
Memories of the Messenger - what memories!
What shall I say of it, and what shall I write?
What can I say of them, how can I express?

My people, I am not exaggerating here,
O people, I do not exaggerate here,
Not at all: Muhammad's excellence cannot be encompassed.
For Muhammad's virtues are beyond measure.

Ideals the mind grows weary of enumerating,
An example that exhausts the mind in counting,
And a notebook has too little room to contain them.
Too great for pages to deliver.

His traits point to him as an ocean,
An ocean, but its depth cannot be fathomed.
With depths unfathomed, shores immeasurable.

Humanity stood upon shores open to all,
People stood at its public shores,
And marveled at what they saw, bewildered.
Amazed by what they saw, confused.

Stumbling at the fringes of blindness.

Along with its young, discontented with its plight.
Grumbled about what afflicted them.

You were virtue's fountain and guide,
From you, graciousness and generosity spring forth.
From you came gentleness, dew bursting forth.

Your birth gave rise to all virtues,
So indecency collapsed, and wrongdoing vanished.
Vice faded away, evil vanished.

The world changes, but it does not change.
The world transformed, change unchanging.

A mighty sign of the fate of those who tyrannized.
Of the fate of those who were arrogant.

For God is aware, watchful, observing.
For God is Watchful, Seeing all.

Shall we stray from the guidance of the Messenger Muhammad,
That we intentionally deviate
Deliberately, twisting our cheek and turning it away in pride?
From Muhammad's guidance, twist and turn away?
