أَصْبَحَhas come to be الدَّهْرُtime وقَدْand already أَلْوَىswept away بِهِمْthem
أَصْبَحَ الدَّهْرُ وقَدْ أَلْوَى بِهِمْ
غَيْرَexcept for تَقْوَالِكَyour much talk مِنْof قِيلٍ‘it was said’ وقَالِand ‘he said’
غَيْرَ تَقْوَالِكَ مِنْ قِيلٍ وقَالِ
Time has now swept them away,
Time has passed by them
Save for your much talk of ‘it was said’ and ‘he said.’
Yet nothing was said of you but good words
