عَوَازِبُfar-roaming ones لمْhave not تَسْمَعْheard نبُوحَthe barking of مَقَامَةٍan encampment
عَوَازِبُ لمْ تَسْمَعْ نبُوحَ مَقَامَةٍ
ولَمْand have not تَرَseen نَاراًa fire تِمَّthe full span of حَوْلٍa year مُجْرَّمِelapsed
ولَمْ تَرَ نَاراً تِمَّ حَوْلٍ مُجْرَّمِ
Roaming far afield, they have heard no barking from an encampment,
Homeless women have not heard the laments of a desolate abode
Nor seen a fire for a full year gone by.
Nor have they seen a fire kindled round a starry, moonlit night
