يا أبناء الأرض اندلعت
خيلhorses قدتwere hewn منfrom أحجارْstones
خيل قدت من أحجارْ
O children of the earth, there burst forth
horses hewn from stones.
فارسهاtheir rider كفa hand وانتصبتْand rose upright
فارسها كف وانتصبتْ
شدتtensed هبتflared up شعلةa flame نارْfire
شدت هبت شعلة نارْ
Their rider is a hand, and it rose upright;
it tensed and flared—a flame of fire.
ياO أبناءchildren الأرضthe earth التمواgather together
يا أبناء الأرض التموا
نايreed flute الشمسthe sun علىat الأبوابْthe doors
ناي الشمس على الأبوابْ
O children of the earth, gather together!
The sun's reed flute is at the doors.
شدواgrip السيفthe sword التحمواclose ranks انضمواjoin together
شدوا السيف التحموا انضموا
قامتكمyour stature شجرtrees وحرابْand spears
قامتكم شجر وحرابْ
Grip the sword; close ranks; join together!
Your stature is trees and spears.
نادتكمcalled you والتحمتand fused فيكمْin you
نادتكم والتحمت فيكمْ
غزةُGaza والقدسُand Jerusalem وبيسانْand Baysan

فجرdawn فلسطينPalestine أغانيكمْyour songs
