وتُداري ضوءَها كي يتبعَك
Return to a soul that conceals its wax,
Come back to a soul that hides its candle
And shields its light so that it may follow you.
And hides its light so it can follow you

Oh friend of thought, be gentle with her:
A little girl whose visions cooed to your ribs.
A sleeping child, her dreams: your ribs

Take my blood or my throbbing temples
For the tender heart remains your pasture!
For the tender heart remains: your pasture
