  1. Take heed, you two: convey a message from me to Huṣayn:

    For your ways are returned to you,

  2. like the return of a borrowed implement; indeed, I

    kept ties with you until your friendship turned to estrangement.

  3. And whenever your right hand extended its reach

    to do good, your left hand would hold it back.

  4. Your tongue is honeyed, and your spirit is cheerful,

    yet your wealth lies by the Pleiades, far from your friend.
