By your life, I never found Abu ʿUmayr
By your life, I have not found Abu Umayr
truthful in speech or learned.
Truthful in speech or knowledgeable.
He speaks to me and twitches his eyebrows
He speaks to me and twitches his eyebrows,
to make me think he possesses ancient knowledge.
So that I might think he possesses ancient knowledge.
May God requite you as He requites an inveterate liar—
May God repay you as He repays a habitual liar,
a sinner who has uttered a monstrous slander.
A sinful one who uttered a monstrous slander.
Sol 6.1
