My lord, fulfill what you promised a devoted servant,
Steadfast in his longstanding affection, without doubt.
Dispensing dirhams is permissible under necessity,
In poetry—and your servant has become a poet.
May you ever remain in unassailable glory, building
The house of virtues and noble deeds upon the heights.
