Fear God! What have I to do with loving nubile maidens?
Fear God! What have I to do with loving full-breasted maidens?
People, they say, have differing ways in love.
For people, they say, have different paths in love.
When has one full moon ever occupied every dwelling?
When has a full moon possessed all the dwellings?
So mine is a singular love—for a temple-lock and a brow.
For my love is peerless, with a temple-lock and an eyebrow.
